Think Big and Kick Arse
Love or hate Mr Trump, you will have to agree he is successful, the man has consistently ranked in the Top 100 Richest People in the world for years. In this book Trump writes personally from the perspective of an entrepreneur who overcame an extremely public bankruptcy — all thanks to his unique approach to life and business, “Think big and kick ass!”
This book was a really easy read which i thoroughly enjoyed, not a hard core self development piece like some, but something that certainly kept me intrigued right to the end.
Teaching some great lessons in perseverance, determination when things aren’t going well and taking a risk to do the things that others won’t, he really makes you want to get up and go and make something of your life.
“I was relentless, even in the face of total lack of encouragement, because much more often than you’d think, sheer persistence is the difference between success and failure. When somebody challenges you, fight back. Be brutal, be tough, Just go get them.
My style of deal-making is quite simple and straightforward. I aim very high, and then I just keep pushing and pushing and pushing to get what I’m after. Sometimes I settle for less than I sought, but in most cases I still end up with what I want. You can’t be scared. You do your thing, you hold your ground, you stand up tall, and whatever happens, happens” Donald Trump – Think Big and Kick Arse.
Trump has an ego, there’s no doubt. But let’s be totally honest, good advice is just what it is good advice. And, most people don’t have the courage to dispense such advice in such raw terms as Trump does.
He holds nothing back, laying it all out on the table with blatant opinions, ideas and thoughts about those who’ve crossed him and those who helped him. He tells you how you need to BE, not just what you need to do to be successful. There is however – so much truth in what he says, It’s blunt and helpful. You’ll think differently about yourself, gain insight, and you’ll learn things that you did not previously know.
I shall leave you with my favorite quote from the book: “As long as you’re going to be thinking anyway, think big” – Donald Trump
